Jacqui Marquis-Conder - Psychologist
Jacqui is a Psychologist with in-depth experience providing assessment and therapeutic interventions across the lifespan and works with a range of presenting issues. Jacqui has a background working with children, families, and parents in a range of settings including government, non-government and community-based services. Jacqui has been in private practice since 2011 providing individual counselling, group programs, community education, public speaking, and professional development training.
Jacqui enjoys working with clients to meet their goals and improve their mental-health and wellbeing. She has qualifications in Art & Play Applications in Therapy to provide creative and play-based communication with clients of all ages. Jacqui tailors evidenced-based interventions to the needs of the client and family including using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Child-Centred Play Therapy, and attachment/relationship-based approaches. Jacqui is informed by trauma and attachment research and literature and has enthusiastic interest in Interpersonal Neurobiology into how the mind, body, and emotions are connected. She has experience working with clients with complex trauma, sexual assault, and domestic violence. Jacqui is passionate about Perinatal Mental Health to improve the wellbeing of families and their babies in the early years. She also works with Couples to address issues and improve their relationship.
