Stacey is a registered psychologist with endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist. Initially trained in evidenced based practices such as cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and interpersonal therapy, Stacey has extended her training, knowledge, and experience in psychoanalysis, including certifications through VAPP and QPPA. She now primarily works from a psychoanalytic framework.
Stacey believes that analytical therapy provides a deeper understanding of the individual’s difficulties. Working to understand the roots of the problem, she provides relief and lasting change. This is done by aligning symptoms with deeper unconscious anxieties and disturbances, helping to relieve confusion and despair while building a clearer sense of self.
Stacey typically meets the patient for one to two sessions to see if there is a good match. This is determined by the therapist and the client. After a thorough assessment, a treatment plan is discussed. Goals are identified and worked towards until relief is achieved.
