About Didi
Leading with Clinical Excellence and Genuine Compassion
Dinusha — known warmly to her clients and colleagues as Didi — is the Principal Clinical Psychologist and a founding pillar of the Sunshine Coast Psychology Clinic. Holding a Master of Clinical Psychology, Didi brings a rigorous level of clinical training and a career's worth of accumulated expertise to her work with adolescents and adults across a broad range of presentations. Her depth of clinical experience — spanning complex trauma, mood disorders, eating difficulties, perinatal mental health, and much more — has been built through years of dedicated practice, ongoing professional development, and a genuine commitment to staying at the forefront of evidence-based care.
Didi's clinical career has been shaped by a deep commitment to evidence-based practice and a genuine belief that every person who walks through the door deserves to be met with both rigour and warmth. She is a Board-Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia, which means she not only delivers exceptional care to her own clients but actively mentors and shapes the next generation of psychologists. Her supervision work reflects her passion for raising the standard of psychological practice on the Sunshine Coast and beyond.
As Principal Psychologist, Didi plays a central role in the clinical direction of the clinic — setting the standard for quality, ethical practice, and client-centred care across both the Maroochydore and Sippy Downs locations. Her breadth of clinical experience, combined with her Master of Clinical Psychology and her extensive supervisory expertise, makes her one of the most experienced and respected psychologists available in private practice on the Sunshine Coast.

What Didi Treats
Didi works with adolescents (from 12 years) and adults across a wide range of presentations. Her extensive clinical experience and her role as Principal Psychologist mean she is particularly well-suited to complex, co-occurring, or treatment-resistant presentations — cases that benefit from the depth of knowledge and clinical judgement that comes with years of dedicated practice.
The Person Behind the Clinician
Didi's Approach to Care
"Every person who comes to therapy is showing extraordinary courage. My role is to honour that courage by bringing the very best of my training, my experience, and my humanity to every session."
Didi is known for her ability to hold space for complexity — to sit with the difficult, the nuanced, and the deeply personal without judgment. Her clients describe her as warm and direct in equal measure: someone who makes them feel genuinely seen, while also challenging them to grow. This balance of compassion and clinical rigour is the hallmark of her therapeutic style.
As a supervisor and mentor, Didi is deeply invested in the quality of psychological care on the Sunshine Coast. She believes that a well-supervised, well-supported clinician is a better clinician — and that investment in the professional development of the team ultimately translates into better outcomes for every client who walks through the clinic's doors.
Outside of her clinical and supervisory work, Didi is a passionate advocate for mental health literacy in the community — believing that the more people understand about their own psychological wellbeing, the more empowered they are to seek help early and engage meaningfully in their own recovery.
