About Yasmin
Warm, Relational, and Clinically Experienced Across Public and Private Settings
Yasmin Miller is a Clinical Psychologist based at the Maroochydore clinic, bringing master's-level clinical training and extensive experience across both the public and private sectors to her work with adolescents (15+) and adults. Her career has included roles at Headspace and Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) — formative experiences that gave her a deep understanding of young people's mental health, the importance of accessible care, and the value of working collaboratively with families and support networks.
Yasmin's approach is fundamentally relational. She believes that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change — and she works hard to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and genuinely collaborative from the very first session. Her calm, grounded presence helps clients feel at ease, and her genuine warmth, creativity, and gentle humour are integral to the strong therapeutic relationships she builds. Whether working with a teenager navigating identity and overwhelm, or an adult processing deep emotional pain, Yasmin approaches every session with curiosity, empathy, and care.
Her clinical interests span a broad range of presentations, with a particular passion for supporting young people and adults through anxiety, trauma, relational difficulties, and the challenges of identity and self-worth. She is also experienced in working with neurodevelopmental presentations including Autism and ADHD, and brings a thoughtful, affirming lens to supporting neurodiverse clients across the lifespan.
Therapeutic Approach
Integrative, Evidence-Based, and Tailored to Each Individual
Yasmin draws from a broad range of therapeutic frameworks, always tailoring her approach to the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each client. She integrates evidence-based strategies with creative and somatic approaches where appropriate — recognising that different people connect with therapy in different ways, and that the most effective treatment is one that genuinely fits the person.

The Person Behind the Clinician
Calm, Creative, and Genuinely Present
"I believe that every person who walks through the door is already doing something courageous. My job is to meet them where they are — with curiosity, warmth, and a genuine belief in their capacity to grow."
Yasmin's calm and grounded presence is one of the first things clients notice. She has a natural ability to put people at ease — creating a space where it feels safe to be honest, to be vulnerable, and to explore the things that are hardest to say. Her genuine warmth and gentle humour are not just personality traits; they are part of how she builds the kind of therapeutic relationship in which real change becomes possible.
Her background in public mental health — including Headspace and CYMHS — gave her a deep appreciation for the complexity of young people's experiences and the importance of meeting clients where they are, rather than where a textbook says they should be. She carries that flexibility and humility into every therapeutic relationship, always guided by what the individual in front of her actually needs.
Yasmin is committed to ongoing learning and professional development, and to staying current with the latest evidence-based approaches. She approaches every client with respect for their unique cultural background, identity, and lived experience — and with a genuine belief in the possibility of growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
