What is Secret Agent Society (SAS)?

Secret Agent Society (SAS) is an innovative, award-winning social and emotional skills program for children aged 8–12 years. Using a fun, spy-themed format, children become “secret agents” who learn to crack the code of emotions, friendships and social situations.

  • Evidence-based program designed specifically for neurodivergent children.
  • Structured weekly sessions with clear skills practice and “missions” between sessions.
  • Strong parent involvement so strategies are reinforced at home and school.

Who is this program for?

SAS is designed for children aged 8–12 years who:

  • Are autistic or suspected of being on the autism spectrum.
  • Have ADHD or attention difficulties.
  • Experience anxiety, worry or big emotions.
  • Struggle with making or keeping friends, or find social situations confusing.

Children do not need a formal diagnosis to attend. We work with families to check that the group is a good fit before confirming a place.

What do children learn?

Across the program, children learn practical skills to help them feel calmer, more confident and more connected with others. Key focus areas include:

  • Recognising emotions in themselves and other people.
  • Managing big feelings such as anxiety, frustration and anger.
  • Solving social problems and handling tricky situations more calmly.
  • Making and keeping friends and working as part of a team.

NDIS funding

Many children do not have a specific “social and community participation” budget in their NDIS plan. Because Secret Agent Society is run by a psychologist, it can usually be funded from Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living.

This may include line items such as:

  • 15_001_0118_1_3 – Early Childhood Intervention Professional – Psychologist (younger children)
  • 15_054_0128_1_3 – Assessment, Recommendation, Therapy or Training – Psychologist (older children)

Our admin team can talk with you or your Support Coordinator about how SAS can be billed under your child’s existing plan and what the approximate out-of-pocket cost will be (if any).

Your SAS facilitator – Breanna Taylor

The program is facilitated by Breanna Taylor, a Provisional Psychologist and Secret Agent Society–trained facilitator at Sunshine Coast Psychology Clinic.

Breanna has a particular interest in working with neurodivergent children and their families, helping them build confidence, emotional regulation skills and positive peer relationships. You can read more about Breanna’s background and interests on her profile page: Breanna Taylor – Sunshine Coast Psychology Clinic .

Places are strictly limited. We speak with each family first to make sure the group is a good fit for their child.
